The Madison Youth Project is about gaining knowledge, but also applying that knowledge in a practical way in the world. Comprised of official MYP members, the clubs’ mission is to practically apply what is being learned thru the MYP Academy on a local level. As students learn more about freedom’s foundations, the Constitution, the Founders, the free-market and varying worldviews, they will then apply what they’ve learned to the real world. That will involve students keeping themselves apprised of current events, and constantly asking, “How do these events or actions being taken line up with a Judeo-Christian worldview, the Constitution and free market principles?” Clubs will become involved in local community activities, by working at soup kitchens or other community outreaches to demonstrate good citizenship. Clubs will also be involved in volunteering on local campaigns, organizing non-partisan voter registration drives, recruiting of additional MYP members, and providing a network for the MY PAC Teams. To start a club, a minimum of ten MYP members must come together and officially apply for club status. After registering with, and being recognized by, national MYP Headquarters, MYP Clubs will be asked to meet at a minimum once a month. |
